Choose comparable records first
Open the activity detail and review the current route map, distance, time, elevation, and activity type. The comparison should use a previous record with the same activity type and a similar route. RouteTracker looks at route distance, the starting point, the recorded route shape, and GPS points to find similar activity history, but it does not guarantee that two records used the exact same course.
- Check for a different start point or direction.
- Check for a detour, stop, road closure, or route change.
- Check for GPS differences caused by buildings, valleys, tree cover, or power settings.
Compare current and previous splits
With Pro analysis, the activity detail split chart can show the current record and a comparison record. The comparison can use the best record in the available previous-record window or a specific activity selected from the calendar.
Use split speed as the main view for cycling and split pace as the main view for running. First find where the current and comparison lines separate. Then check the elevation profile and route map for that section.
- Review the current activity type and route map.
- Choose the previous best or select a comparison date from the calendar.
- Find the splits where the current and comparison lines diverge.
- Check the elevation profile and route for GPS changes or detours.
Separate one result from a repeated-route trend
Growth charts collect completed similar-route records and show an average speed or pace range together with recent direction. Review whether the current record is above or below the history average and whether the most recent records move in a stable direction.
A single activity is not a trend. If the route or conditions change materially between records, use the chart as context rather than as proof of improvement.
Treat on-device Local AI as reference analysis
After a supported model is available on the device, RouteTracker Pro Local AI can summarize speed, pace, elevation, and repeated-route patterns from a completed activity. Read the generated summary together with the chart values you can inspect directly.
The generated text is reference activity analysis based on recorded data. It is not medical advice, a safety decision, rescue support, professional coaching, or a guarantee about a future result. Model availability, download time, device performance, and wording can vary.
Check the result before sharing it
Before treating a comparison as a useful conclusion, verify that the activity type and route were comparable. GPS accuracy, battery settings, weather, elevation, stops, or detours can change the recording and make a direct speed or pace comparison misleading.
- Separate a result based on one previous record from a pattern based on enough history.
- Confirm that split comparison, growth charts, and Local AI are available in the current subscription tier.
- Do not use comparison values alone as medical, safety, or professional training conclusions.
Limits to check before use
- Repeated-route analysis, split comparison, and growth charts are RouteTracker Pro features; Core recording and completed-activity review are separate.
- Similar-route matching is approximate; GPS errors and missing points are not automatically removed.
- GPS accuracy and battery use vary with the device, permissions, power settings, terrain, and signal conditions.
- Growth charts require repeated completed records, and a single activity cannot establish a trend.
- Local AI output is reference activity analysis, not medical, safety, rescue, or professional coaching advice.
